Meet Jessica

Jessica Luffey

CSOM, MM
Certified Specialist of Orofacial Myology

Ms. Luffey grew up immersed in the dental and medical fields. While pursuing a career as a professional opera singer, she found the world of myology and has since used her unique set of skills and insights to bridge new ideas between the two worlds.

Ms. Luffey’s extensive practical education includes being trained by the world’s top myo, dental/ortho, and tongue tie experts, authors, and educationalists including Dr. Soroush Zaghi, Dr. Richard Baxter, Dr. Micheal Gelb & associates, Sanda Valcu-Pinkerton, and Sandra Coulson among others. Her expertise and work has even been featured directly in Dr. Baxter’s blog (read the full article here: https://tonguetieal.com/can-tongue-tie-impact-singing-and-vocal-quality/).

Ms. Luffey enjoys working with clients of all ages- from post-trauma adults to developing children. With over twelve years of specialization in multiple disciplines such as advanced breathing and muscular isolation techniques, she especially enjoys working with clients with severe oral-space and pharyngeal deficiency, and soft-palate issues. She also works closely with professional musicians to facilitate and maintain healthy oral and pharyngal-cavity shape, space modification/enlargement, and advanced tongue training for easy and natural production and technique.

Ms. Luffey is currently actively researching tongue ties and their affect on vocal sound, range, and overall technique in singers.

Ms. Luffey holds a CSOM from the Graduate School of Breathing Sciences and a Master of Music in Vocal Performance, and is a member of the Voice Foundation.
